Preparation of Chicken
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade. Add the chicken breasts and coat well. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Grill the Chicken
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated chicken breasts for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Salad Assembly
- 3
Prepare the Mixed Greens
In a large serving tray or bowl, place the mixed greens as a base.
- 4
Add Toppings
Evenly distribute the sliced grilled chicken over the mixed greens. Sprinkle gorgonzola cheese crumbles and glazed cranberry walnuts on top.
Dressing Preparation
- 5
Make the Balsamic Dressing
In a separate bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, olive oil, salt, and black pepper until well combined and emulsified.
- 6
Serve
Drizzle the balsamic dressing over the salad just before serving. Toss lightly to combine.
