Method
Preparation of the Roast
- 1
Season the Beef
Take the American Wagyu Beef Roast and pat it dry with paper towels. Season generously with kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder on all sides.
- 2
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
- 3
Roast the Beef
Place the seasoned beef on a roasting rack in a roasting pan. Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the roast. Roast the beef in the preheated oven until it reaches an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, approximately 2 to 3 hours.
- 4
Rest the Beef
Once the desired temperature is reached, remove the roast from the oven and cover it loosely with aluminum foil. Allow it to rest for at least 20-30 minutes before slicing.
Assembling the Sandwich
- 5
Slice the Beef
After the beef has rested, slice it thinly against the grain.
- 6
Prepare the Toppings
Wash and dry the lettuce. Slice the tomato and onion into thin rings.
- 7
Build the Sandwich
On a serving platter or directly on sandwich rolls, layer the sliced Wagyu beef generously. Top with provolone cheese, followed by lettuce, tomato slices, onion rings, and a generous spread of mayonnaise.
- 8
Serve
Serve immediately while the beef is warm and enjoy your American Wagyu Roast Beef sandwich!
