Method

Hummus Preparation

  1. 1

    Blend the Hummus

In a food processor, combine the canned chickpeas, tahini, garlic cloves, lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and water.

  2. 2

    Process Until Smooth

Blend the mixture until it is smooth and creamy. If the hummus is too thick, add a bit more water until you reach your desired consistency.

  3. 3

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the hummus and adjust seasoning or lemon juice as needed.

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 4

    Wash and Slice the Vegetables

Rinse the tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, and celery under cold water. Slice the tomatoes and cucumbers into bite-sized pieces, cut the carrots into sticks, and chop the celery into manageable lengths.

Bread Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare Pita Bread

Brush the pita bread with olive oil and sprinkle garlic powder on both sides.

  2. 6

    Warm the Pita

Place the pita bread on a baking sheet and warm in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes until slightly crispy.

  3. 7

    Cut into Triangles

Once warmed, remove the pita bread from the oven and cut into triangles for easy dipping.
