Method

Prepare the Fries

  1. 1

    Heat the Oil

In a large frying pan or deep fryer, heat oil to 180°C (350°F).

  2. 2

    Cook the Fries

Add the frozen French fries to the hot oil and cook according to package instructions until golden and crispy, usually about 3-5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Season the Fries

Once cooked, remove the fries from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain. While still hot, sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to taste.

Prepare the Grilled Cheese Pita

  1. 4

    Mix the Cheeses

In a bowl, combine the cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and cream cheese. Mix well until the cheeses are evenly blended.

  2. 5

    Stuff the Pita

Take one piece of pita bread and carefully open it to create a pocket. Fill it generously with the cheese mixture. Repeat with the second piece of pita.

  3. 6

    Grill the Pita

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the stuffed pita in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the pita is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Serve

  1. 7

    Plating

Remove the grilled cheese pita from the skillet and cut it in half if desired. Serve hot alongside the seasoned fries and a small drink of your choice.
