Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Navy Beans

Soak the navy beans in water overnight. Drain and rinse before cooking.

2

Cook the Bacon

In a large pot, cook the slab bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and chop into pieces, leaving the drippings in the pot.

3

Sauté Vegetables

In the same pot, add chopped onions and garlic to the bacon drippings and sauté until onions are translucent.

4

Combine Ingredients

Add the soaked navy beans, chopped bacon, smoked turkey, sliced beef frankfurter, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and water to the pot.

5

Bake the Beans

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally. If the mixture becomes too thick, add more water as needed.

6

Final Touch

After 2 hours, uncover the pot and let it bake for an additional 30 minutes to thicken the sauce.

7

Serve

Serve warm as a hearty side dish or main course.
