Prepare the Chicken Patty
In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the chicken mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1 inch thick.
- 3
Cook the Patties
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- 4
Add the Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
- 5
Prepare the Vegetables
While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato and red onion. Wash and dry the lettuce leaves.
- 6
Assemble the Burger
Toast the burger buns if desired. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked chicken patty with melted cheese, slices of tomato, onion, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
