Cheesecake Ingredients

Method

Cheesecake Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Oven and Pan

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan with butter or cooking spray.

  2. 2

    Mix the Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

  3. 3

    Add Sugar and Sour Cream

Gradually add the granulated sugar and sour cream, mixing until well combined.

  4. 4

    Incorporate Eggs and Vanilla

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. 5

    Add Cocoa Powder

Sift in the cocoa powder and mix until the batter is smooth and well combined.

  6. 6

    Layer Chocolate Syrup

Pour half of the cheesecake batter into the prepared pan. Drizzle half of the chocolate syrup over the batter and swirl with a knife. Pour the remaining batter on top and repeat with the remaining chocolate syrup.

  7. 7

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes. The center should be slightly jiggly but set.

  8. 8

    Cool and Chill

Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar for about 1 hour. Then, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  9. 9

    Serve with Whipped Cream

Before serving, top with whipped cream and additional chocolate syrup if desired.
