Each sip delivers a delightful kick of spice, complemented by a hint of sweetness that dances on your palate. Ideal for quenching your thirst on a warm day or as a lively mixer for your favorite cocktails, this artisanal brew is a must-try for any beverage enthusiast!

Peel and finely grate the fresh ginger root.

Prepare the Ginger

In a saucepan, combine the grated ginger, sugar, and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Remove from heat and let it steep for about 30 minutes.

Make the Ginger Syrup

Strain the ginger syrup into a large mixing bowl, discarding the solids. Add the remaining 2 cups of water, lemon juice, and yeast to the bowl. Stir well to combine.

Combine Ingredients

Pour the mixture into a clean, airtight container, leaving some space at the top. Seal the container and let it sit at room temperature for 24 to 48 hours, until bubbly.

Ferment

After fermentation, carefully strain the mixture again into bottles, leaving some sediment behind. Cap the bottles tightly.

Bottle the Ginger Beer

Refrigerate the bottles for at least 2 hours before serving. Serve chilled with lemon slices for garnish.
