Prepare the Beef Ragú
In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion, diced carrots, and diced celery. Sauté for about 5 minutes until vegetables are soft.

Add Liquids and Seasoning
Pour in the red wine and let it simmer for a couple of minutes. Then add crushed tomatoes, beef broth, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and let it simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes.

Cook the Orechiette
While the ragú is simmering, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the orechiette pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Combine and Serve
Once the ragú is ready, mix in the cooked orechiette pasta. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
