Ingredients for Brie Crocante
Method
Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Brie
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the Brie cheese in half horizontally, so you have two thinner rounds.
- 2
Bread the Brie
Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of panko breadcrumbs and sliced almonds. Dip each Brie round in flour, then egg, and finally coat with the almond-panko mixture.
- 3
Bake the Brie
Place the breaded Brie rounds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and melty.
- 4
Make the Fig Vinaigrette
In a small bowl, whisk together fig preserves, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- 5
Serve
Arrange mixed greens on a serving platter. Place the warm Brie on top and drizzle with fig vinaigrette before serving.
