Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Prepare Peppers
Wash and dry the bell peppers. Cut them in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and stems.

Season Peppers
In a large bowl, toss the pepper halves with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and balsamic vinegar until well coated.

Roast Peppers
Arrange the seasoned peppers cut side down on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the skins are blistered and the peppers are tender.

Cool and Serve
Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
