Pasta and Sauce
Method
Preparation Steps
- 1
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Chicken
While the pasta is cooking, season chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.
- 3
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 4
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Slice the cooked chicken and place it on top of the pasta.
- 5
Serve
Garnish with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve hot.
