Dumpling Filling and Rice
Method
Preparation and Cooking
Prepare the Dumpling Filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped green onions, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Assemble the Dumplings
Take a dumpling wrapper and place about a tablespoon of the filling in the center. Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper. Fold the wrapper over to create a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
Cook the Dumplings
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Carefully add the dumplings to the boiling water and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the top. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Prepare the Tofu
In a separate pan, cube the firm tofu and lightly sauté in a little sesame oil until golden brown. Set aside.
Prepare the Hot Stone Pot Rice
Cook rice according to package instructions. Once done, transfer rice to a hot stone pot and let it steam for a few minutes until crispy at the bottom.
Serve
In the hot stone pot, add the cooked dumplings and sautéed tofu. Serve immediately and enjoy!
