Stuffed Peppers Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bell Peppers

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Lightly brush the outsides with olive oil and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Filling

In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until fragrant and translucent. Add pork sausage, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned. Stir in cream cheese, shredded cheese, and Italian seasoning until melted and well combined. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Stuff the Peppers

Fill each prepared bell pepper with the sausage and cheese mixture, packing it down slightly. Place the stuffed peppers upright in a baking dish.

  4. 4

    Add Tomato Sauce

Pour tomato sauce evenly over the stuffed peppers.

  5. 5

    Bake

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the cheese is bubbly.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, and serve warm.
