Prepare the Glass
Moisten the rim of a chilled cocktail glass with a lime wedge and dip it into salt to coat the rim. Set aside.

Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of tequila, 1 oz of triple sec, and 1 oz of fresh lime juice.

Shake the Cocktail
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice, if desired.

Garnish
Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
