Cook Ground Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, approximately 7-10 minutes, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain excess fat and set aside.

Prepare Chicken
If using chicken, ensure it's pre-cooked and shredded. Set aside for assembly.
Assembling Nachos

Layer Tortilla Chips
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). On a large baking sheet, spread out the tortilla chips in an even layer.

Add Cheese
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the tortilla chips.

Add Meat
Evenly distribute your choice of cooked ground beef or shredded chicken over the cheese-covered tortilla chips.

Add Jalapeños
Top with sliced jalapeños.
Baking

Bake the Nachos
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove the nachos from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Top with sour cream, guacamole, and chopped cilantro before serving.
