Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and shape them into patties. Make them slightly larger than the buns as they will shrink while cooking.

  3. 3

    Sear the Patties

In the same skillet where you cooked the bacon, increase the heat to high. Add the beef patties and smash them down with a spatula. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until a crust forms, then flip.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese and Bacon

After flipping the patties, place a slice of Tillamook white cheddar on each patty along with 3 slices of bacon. Cover the skillet to help melt the cheese, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are finishing, toast the burger buns in another skillet or in the oven until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, spread 2 tablespoons of special sauce. Layer with lettuce, a slice of tomato, and a few rings of onion. Place the bacon cheeseburger patty on top and finish with the top half of the bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your Double Bacon burger!
