Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders Ingredients
Method
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
In a mixing bowl, soak the chicken tenders in buttermilk for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
- 2
Make the Dredging Mixture
In another bowl, combine flour, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
- 3
Coat the Chicken
Remove chicken from buttermilk and allow excess to drip off. Dredge each tender in the flour mixture, pressing to adhere. Set aside.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully add the coated chicken tenders to the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 6
Make the Hot Sauce
In a small saucepan, combine hot sauce and honey over low heat, stirring until blended.
- 7
Coat the Tenders
Drizzle the hot sauce mixture over the fried chicken tenders, ensuring they are well coated. Serve immediately.
