Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Alligator Meat
In a bowl, marinate the alligator tail meat with your choice of seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper are recommended) for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Fry the Alligator Meat
Heat a skillet with a bit of oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated alligator meat and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until it's cooked through and slightly crispy. Remove from heat and let it rest.
- 3
Warm the Tortillas
In a separate pan, lightly warm the flour tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until soft and pliable.
- 4
Assemble the Tacos
On each tortilla, layer the cooked alligator meat, followed by the shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, and pico de gallo. Drizzle with chipotle sour cream.
- 5
Serve
Serve the tacos with a side of salsa verde for dipping.
