Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tuna

Rub the Ahi tuna steaks with blackening seasoning on all sides. Let them sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add sliced bell peppers and onions. Sauté until they are soft and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Tuna

In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if necessary and sear the tuna steaks for about 1-2 minutes on each side for rare, depending on thickness. Remove from heat and let rest for a minute.

  4. 4

    Slice the Tuna

Slice the seared tuna steaks thinly against the grain.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Fajitas

Warm flour tortillas and layer with sautéed peppers and onions, sliced Ahi tuna, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, sliced avocado, salsa verde, and sour cream.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the fajitas with a side of dirty rice.
