Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, minced jalapeño, minced garlic, minced shallots, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and well-combined.

Form the Firecrackers
Cut the layered phyllo into strips about 3 inches wide. Place a tablespoon of the cream cheese filling at one end of each strip. Fold the corner over the filling to form a triangle and continue folding in a triangle shape, sealing the filling inside as you go. Brush the top with more melted butter.

Bake
Place the prepared firecrackers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with tomatillo jam on the side.
