Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Meats

In a mixing bowl, combine the chuck beef and Angus Wagyu beef. Use your hands to mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

Add the Cheese

  1. 4

    Melt the Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Cooper White American cheese on each patty. Cover with a lid to help melt the cheese.

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 5

    Prepare Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, wash the lettuce leaf thoroughly, slice the tomato, and cut the pickles and red onion into thin slices.

  2. 6

    Cook the Bacon (Optional)

If adding bacon, cook the slices in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and let drain on paper towels.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Spread the Sauce

Take the burger bun and spread the signature sauce on the bottom half.

  2. 8

    Layer the Ingredients

Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on top of the sauce, followed by the lettuce, tomato slice, pickles, and red onion slices. If using bacon, add it on top.

  3. 9

    Finish Assembly

Top the burger with the other half of the bun and press down gently.
