Wild Mushroom Sauté

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Clean the wild mushrooms with a damp cloth and slice them if they are large. Thinly slice the yellow onion and chop the chives.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Onions

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they are soft and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Mushrooms

Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet with the caramelized onions. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the wild mushrooms. Sauté until the mushrooms are browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Season the Dish

Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  5. 5

    Finish with Chives

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped chives. Serve warm as a side dish or over a bed of grains.
