Bricktown BLT

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Flip occasionally for even cooking. Once cooked, transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Basil Aioli

In a small bowl, combine the basil aioli ingredients (mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and finely chopped fresh basil). Mix well until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.

  3. 3

    Slice the Tomato

Wash and slice the medium tomato into thin slices. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Toast the Bread

In the same skillet used for bacon, lightly toast the 9 grain bread slices on both sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

Spread a generous layer of basil aioli on two slices of toasted bread. Layer with shredded lettuce, bacon, and tomato slices. Add salt and pepper to taste. Top with the remaining slices of toasted bread.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Fries

While assembling the sandwich, cook the frozen French fries according to package instructions until crispy. This usually takes about 20-25 minutes in an oven.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the assembled Bricktown BLT with a side of crispy salt and pepper fries.
