Method
Preparation
- 1
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.
- 2
Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth and combined.
Cooking
- 3
Combine Ingredients
Pour the wet ingredient mixture into the dry ingredients bowl. Gently stir with a spatula until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; the batter should be slightly lumpy.
- 4
Preheat the Skillet
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with a bit of butter or oil.
- 5
Cook the Pancakes
Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges are slightly dry, about 2-3 minutes. Flip the pancakes and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- 6
Serve
Remove the pancakes from the skillet and keep warm. Serve immediately with maple syrup and fresh berries on top.
