Method
Prepare the Croutons
- 1
Make Croutons
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread slices into small cubes. In a mixing bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated. Spread the croutons on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown, stirring halfway through to ensure even toasting. Remove from the oven and set aside.
Prepare the Dressing
- 2
Mix Caesar Dressing
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste, if necessary.
Assemble the Salad
- 3
Combine Ingredients
In a large salad bowl, chop the romaine lettuce into bite-size pieces. Add the chopped romaine and Parmesan cheese to the bowl. Drizzle the prepared Caesar dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat.
- 4
Add Croutons
Top the salad with the freshly made croutons. Toss lightly to combine, or serve croutons on top for added crunch.
