Method
Preparation
- 1
Select Fresh Oranges
Choose 4 ripe and juicy oranges. Look for oranges that are heavy for their size and have a smooth, firm skin.
- 2
Wash the Oranges
Rinse the oranges under cool running water to remove any dirt or residues.
- 3
Cut the Oranges
Slice each orange in half crosswise using a sharp knife.
Juicing
- 4
Juice the Oranges
Using a citrus juicer or a handheld juicer, extract the juice from each half of the oranges into a container. Ensure you squeeze thoroughly to extract as much juice as possible.
- 5
Strain the Juice (Optional)
If you prefer pulp-free juice, pour the extracted juice through a fine mesh strainer into another container to remove any pulp.
Serving
- 6
Sweeten (Optional)
If you like your orange juice sweet, stir in 1 tablespoon of sugar until dissolved.
- 7
Serve Chilled
Pour the freshly squeezed orange juice into glasses, adding ice cubes if desired. Serve immediately for the best taste.
