Prepare the Bread
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the French bread into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large mixing bowl.

Combine Ingredients
Pour the custard mixture over the bread pieces. Gently fold in the mixed berries and toasted pecans. Allow it to sit for about 15 minutes to let the bread soak up the custard.

Bake
Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.

Let the bread pudding cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with hard whiskey sauce if desired.
