Prepare the Bread
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the French bread into 1-inch cubes and place in a large mixing bowl.

Combine
Pour the custard mixture over the cubed bread, gently folding to ensure all bread pieces are coated. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to absorb.

Add Berries and Pecans
Fold in the fresh berries and toasted pecans into the bread mixture.

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
