Ingredients for Jalapeno Poppers
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Jalapenos
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes carefully using a spoon or a knife. This will reduce the heat level.
- 2
Make the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and bacon bits. Mix until well combined and creamy.
- 3
Fill the Jalapenos
Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeno half, filling them generously. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to press the filling in.
- 4
Prepare for Baking
Place the filled jalapenos on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle or brush the tops lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- 5
Bake the Poppers
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapenos are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- 6
Cool and Serve
Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your spicy, cheesy jalapeno poppers!
