Method

Cooking the Noodles

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt once boiling.

  2. 2

    Cook the Noodles

Add spaghetti or linguine to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes until al dente.

  3. 3

    Drain and Set Aside

Once cooked, drain the noodles and reserve about 1 cup of pasta water. Set the noodles aside.

Preparing the Crawfish Mixture

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

  2. 5

    Sauté Garlic

Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

  3. 6

    Add Crawfish and Spices

Stir in crawfish tails, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice. Cook for about 5 minutes until heated through.

  4. 7

    Stir in Green Onions

Add chopped green onions to the mixture and stir for an additional 2 minutes.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 8

    Combine Noodles and Crawfish

Add the drained noodles to the skillet with the crawfish mixture. Toss everything together to combine well.

  2. 9

    Adjust Consistency

If the mixture seems dry, gradually add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is achieved.

  3. 10

    Add Parmesan

Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the noodles and toss to combine until melted and creamy.

Serving

  1. 11

    Season and Garnish

Season with black pepper and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

  2. 12

    Plate and Enjoy

Serve the crawfish garlic noodles hot, with additional Parmesan on the side if desired.
