Chicken Tenders
Dipping Sauces
Method
Preparation of Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, beat the eggs in the second bowl, and add the breadcrumbs mixed with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper in the third bowl.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dredge each chicken strip in flour, shaking off the excess. Dip into the beaten eggs, allowing the excess to drip off, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure each strip is fully coated.
Cooking Chicken Tenders
- 4
Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering (about 350°F/175°C).
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully add the breaded chicken strips to the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding the pan. Fry for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with ranch, Breaux, or Voodoo sauce.
