Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Rinse the shrimp, crab legs, and mussels under cold water. Cut the sausage into 1-inch pieces. Peel and quarter the potato, and cut the corn into halves if desired.

  2. 2

    Boil the Water

In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and 2 tablespoons of Old Bay seasoning to the boiling water.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Vegetables

Once the water is boiling, add the potato pieces and corn to the pot. Cook for about 10 minutes or until the potato is fork-tender.

  2. 4

    Add the Sausage

Add the sausage pieces to the pot and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

  3. 5

    Add the Seafood

Carefully add the shrimp, crab legs, and mussels to the pot. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and the mussels have opened.

Serving

  1. 6

    Drain and Serve

Once the seafood is thoroughly cooked, drain the pot and transfer the seafood and vegetables to a large serving platter. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top and serve immediately.
