Method

French Toast Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the egg mixture

In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.

  2. 2

    Soak the Texas toast

Dip each slice of Texas toast into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side until well coated.

  3. 3

    Cook the French toast

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Place the soaked Texas toast in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining slice and butter.

  4. 4

    Serve the French toast

Remove the French toast from the skillet and serve hot, topped with maple syrup and a dusting of powdered sugar to taste.

Coffee Preparation

  1. 5

    Brew the coffee

In a coffee maker, add the ground coffee to the filter and pour in 1 cup of water. Brew according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  2. 6

    Serve the coffee

Once brewed, pour the coffee into a cup and serve alongside the French toast.
