French Toast
Method
Scrambled Eggs
- 1
Prepare the Egg Mixture
In a mixing bowl, crack the 4 large eggs and add 2 tablespoons of milk, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of pepper. Whisk together until well blended.
- 2
Cook the Eggs
In a non-stick skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Once melted, pour in the egg mixture. Allow the eggs to sit for a few seconds, then gently stir with a spatula. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the eggs are just set but still slightly creamy. Remove from heat.
Bacon or Sausage Links
- 3
Cook the Bacon or Sausage
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the 4 pieces of bacon or the 2 sausage links. Cook until bacon is crispy and sausage is browned and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
French Toast
- 4
Prepare the French Toast Mixture
In a mixing bowl, whisk together 2 eggs, 1 cup of milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon until well combined.
- 5
Cook the French Toast
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak briefly. Place the soaked bread onto the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Repeat with remaining slices.
- 6
Serve
Serve the French toast warm, drizzled with maple syrup to taste, alongside the scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage.
