Brownie Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter. Remove from heat and stir in 2 cups of granulated sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar until well combined.
- 3
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Allow the butter mixture to cool slightly, then add 4 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 2 tsp of vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 0.5 tsp of salt.
- 5
Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 6
Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips until evenly distributed in the batter.
- 7
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 8
Cool and Serve
Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Cut into squares and serve warm with scoops of vanilla ice cream.
