- 1
Preheat Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the frozen French fries to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-6 minutes.
- 3
Drain Fries
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries from the oil and drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Assembling the Cheese Fries
- 4
Layer Fries
Place the hot, drained fries on a large serving platter or baking sheet.
- 5
Add Cheese
Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the fries while they are still hot, allowing the cheese to melt.
- 6
Add Bacon
Sprinkle the cooked bacon evenly over the melted cheese.
- 7
Garnish
Chop the green onions and sprinkle them on top for added flavor and color.
- 8
Serve
Serve immediately with a side of sour cream for dipping.
