Burger Patty

Sausage Gravy

Toppings

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Sausage

In a bowl, combine the ground sausage with salt and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patty

Form the mixture into a patty shape that matches the size of your burger bun.

Cook the Sausage Patty

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the sausage patty. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked and browned.

Make the Sausage Gravy

  1. 4

    Create the Roux

In the same skillet with the sausage drippings, add the flour and stir for about one minute over medium heat.

  2. 5

    Add Milk

Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Cook until the mixture thickens, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 6

    Season the Gravy

Add salt and black pepper to taste. Stir well and set aside.

Cook the Egg

  1. 7

    Fry the Egg

In another pan, heat a little oil or butter over medium heat. Crack the egg and cook until the whites are set but the yolk is still runny, about 3-4 minutes.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 8

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of the burger bun, place the cooked sausage patty. Top with a slice of American cheese, followed by a generous spoonful of sausage gravy.

  2. 9

    Add Fresh Toppings

Slice the tomato, cucumber, and onion. Layer these on top of the gravy. Finally, place the fried egg on top.

  3. 10

    Finish the Burger

Top with the other half of the burger bun and serve immediately.
