Prepare the Yucca
Peel the yucca and cut it into 2-inch pieces.

Boil the Yucca
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the yucca pieces and cook for about 20-25 minutes or until tender. Drain and set aside.

Fry the Yucca
In a deep skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the boiled yucca pieces and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

Optional Garlic Flavor
If desired, add minced garlic to the oil during the last minute of frying for extra flavor.

Serve
Remove the fried yucca from the oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt and serve hot as a side dish.
