Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Picanha

Take the picanha out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to an hour before cooking. This helps in even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Meat

Generously sprinkle sea salt on all sides of the picanha. Make sure to coat it evenly to enhance the flavor.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat. If using charcoal, allow the coals to burn down until they are covered in white ash. For gas grills, set to high.

  4. 4

    Grill the Picanha

Place the picanha on the grill, fat side down. Grill for about 5-7 minutes until the fat is crispy. Then, flip it over and cook for another 5-7 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust the time based on your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Rest and Serve

Remove the picanha from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Cut against the grain into thick slices and serve.
