Sauté the Aromatics
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add Bacon
Add the chopped cooked bacon to the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Season and Finish
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir in the chopped green onions and parsley, if using. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
