Directions
- 1
Prepare the Oysters
Rinse the oysters under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Scrub the shells gently with a brush if necessary.
- 2
Shuck the Oysters
Using an oyster knife, carefully insert the knife into the hinge of each oyster and twist to open. Slide the knife along the shell to detach the oyster from the top shell. Leave the oyster in the bottom shell.
- 3
Arrange on a Platter
Place the opened oysters on a serving platter filled with crushed ice to keep them cold.
- 4
Serve with Condiments
Serve the oysters with cocktail sauce, lemon wedges, and horseradish on the side for dipping.
