Baking Instructions

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.

2

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3

Add Wet Ingredients

Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.

4

Incorporate Boiling Water

Stir in the boiling water carefully (the batter will be thin).

5

Bake the Layers

Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

6

Cool the Cakes

Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

7

Layer and Frost

Once cooled, place one layer on a serving plate, spread chocolate frosting on top, and repeat for the remaining layers. Frost the top and sides of the cake.

8

Serve

Serve slices of the 7 Layer Chocolate Cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.
