Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mushrooms

In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the sliced mushrooms until they are golden brown and have released their moisture, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the Angus ground beef into 4 equal portions and form them into patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

  3. 3

    Blacken the Patties

Season the patties with your preferred blackening seasoning. Heat a grill or skillet over high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until cooked to your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Melt the Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each patty and cover the grill or skillet to melt the cheese.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

To assemble, place the cooked patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of a brioche bun. Top with sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato slices, red onion, and pickles. Add the top half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the mushroom burgers immediately with your choice of side.
