Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Asparagus

Trim the tough ends off the asparagus and rinse them under cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel.

Grilling

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).

  2. 5

    Grill the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it skin-side down on the grill. Cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

  3. 6

    Grill the Asparagus

While the salmon is grilling, place the asparagus on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until tender and slightly charred.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Once cooked, remove the salmon and asparagus from the grill and let rest for a minute. Serve the salmon with the grilled asparagus on the side.

  2. 8

    Garnish

If desired, sprinkle with fresh dill or parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for added flavor.
