Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Hard Boil the Eggs

Place the large eggs in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Eggs

Once the water reaches a rolling boil, cover the saucepan with a lid, remove it from heat, and let it sit for 12 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cool the Eggs

After 12 minutes, carefully transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water to cool for 5-10 minutes. This stops the cooking process and makes peeling easier.

Making the Filling

  1. 4

    Peel the Eggs

Once cooled, peel the eggs under running water to help remove the shells. Slice each egg in half lengthwise.

  2. 5

    Prepare the Filling

Carefully scoop out the yolks into a mixing bowl. Add mayonnaise, mustard, salt, black pepper, and paprika to the bowl with the yolks.

  3. 6

    Mix the Filling

Using a fork, mash the yolks and mix until smooth and creamy.

Assemble the Deviled Eggs

  1. 7

    Fill the Egg Whites

Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the hollowed-out egg whites.

  2. 8

    Add Toppings

Crumble the crispy bacon slices on top of the filled egg whites and sprinkle chopped chives for garnish.

  3. 9

    Serve

Arrange the deviled eggs on a serving platter and enjoy!
