Method

Baker's Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

  2. 2

    Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix; the dough should be slightly sticky.

  3. 3

    Chill the Dough

Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. This will make it easier to handle.

Honey Dip Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Honey Dip

In a small saucepan over low heat, combine honey, ground cinnamon, lemon juice, and water. Stir until the mixture is heated through and well blended. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.

Baking

  1. 5

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 6

    Shape the Dough

Once the dough has chilled, scoop out small portions and roll them into balls. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.

  3. 7

    Bake the Dough

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

  4. 8

    Serve with Honey Dip

Serve the baked cookies warm or at room temperature, drizzled with the prepared honey dip. Enjoy!
