Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Rub each steak with olive oil, then season generously with garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and fresh rosemary.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, about 450°F (230°C).

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Place the seasoned steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes.

Making the Fries

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into uniform sticks, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 5

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This will help them become crispier.

  3. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels. Fry them in batches for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  5. 8

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle them with salt and paprika to taste.
