Brownie Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, remove from heat.
- 3
Mix Sugars
To the melted butter, add granulated sugar and brown sugar. Stir until well combined.
- 4
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 5
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- 6
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- 7
Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- 8
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
- 9
Cool
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before cutting into squares.
Serving the Brownies

Plate the Brownies
Place a warm brownie square on each plate.
- 11
Add Ice Cream
Top each brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- 12
