Juicing the Lemons
Cut the fresh lemons in half and use a citrus juicer or reamer to extract the juice. Strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds and pulp. You should have about 1 cup of lemon juice.

Making the Lemonade Base
In a pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and granulated sugar. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Chilling
Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to chill it thoroughly.

Serving
Serve the lemonade over ice cubes in glasses. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
